Riverina Merino 2008

The Riverina Stud Merino Field Days Association is a committed industry group of exceptional studs working hard all year to progress the Riverina Merino's renowned winning trifecta traits: - fibre, frame and fertility.

Each year, the Riverina Stud Merino Field Days Association participates in industry events to showcase the Association's member studs, as well as a whole host of other exciting and innovative exhibitors. In August this year, at the Conargo Sports Ground, Riverina Merino will feature several industry awards, culminating in the Elders Riverina Ram of the Year Award.

In addition to working on the Riverina Merino’s winning trifecta traits and planning for the Riverina Merino Ram Sales in September, many of the member studs partake in research and evaluation programs so as to ensure that their stud breeding strategies continue to advance the progressive genetic gain and improved performance that the Association is renowned for.

The Association is also committed to the ongoing support and education of young industry members, bestowing several prestigious awards each year. These include the Landmark Pennefather Perpetual Trophy for the Best Junior Judge and Merial’s Noel Reid Young Riverina Ambassador Award.
